DMI is een publiek-private samenwerking waarin technologie wordt ontwikkeld voor slimme en duurzame verstedelijking en mobiliteit. Het ‘Dutch Metropolitan Innovations (DMI)-ecosysteem’ krijgt een bijdrage van 85 miljoen. Met dit groeiplan investeren we in de ontwikkeling, groei en export van de watertechnologiesector en nieuwe oplossingen voor voldoende én schoon water voor heel Nederland. Door klimaatverandering worden we steeds vaker en heviger geconfronteerd met droge zomers en toenemende waterschaarste.
Het ‘Groeiplan Watertechnologie’ ontvangt een bijdrage van 135 miljoen. Zo ontvangen het Groeiplan Watertechnologie, DMI-ecosysteem en NL2120 een bijdrage. Vandaag maakte het kabinet bekend welke initiatieven een bijdrage ontvangen uit het Nationaal Groeifonds.
So why not directly allocate resources to driving success there, instead of depriving funds from them AND using up precious exploration and mining capacity and capability (think practically: skilled workforce, lab capacity, vehicles, drill rigs, not to mention fuel and electricity require to run operations etc). To make the transition into a more sustainable energy mix we are utterly dependent on (cheap, accessible, responsibly mined) energy transition minerals (and the supply chain thereafter). One major driver of this uncertainty is around the future of our global economy which in turn relies heavily on our global energy system, which in turn will destroy the planet if we keep using fossil fuels.
Meaning all minerals required to build the energy infrastructure of the future.įundamentally gold as a commodity is used as a hedge against financial uncertainty. The time, money, resources and R&D capacity currently being expended on gold exploration and mining could, to a certain degree, be better re-allocated to exploration and mining of energy transition minerals.
